Last night, ELLE.com was on the red carpet for the New York premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. The event, hosted by Cinema Society and Samsung Galaxy, drew cast members Dakota Fanning, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Mackenzie Foy, Maggie Grace, and more. Notably missing were Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner, who were on the other side of the world attending the Madrid premiere of the film. ELLE.com chatted with some of the cast about having vampire super powers, working with the director, and saying goodbye the beloved series.

Ashley Greene, looking stunning in a midnight blue Donna Karan Atelier number, said that fans have director Bill Condon to thank for this being the best Twilight film to date. “He brought heart and soul into it, and he really wanted to make this the best that it could possibly be,” she told ELLE.com, exclusively. “That’s something that I’m really thankful for, because I think having to end this was a hard thing. But having someone like him behind us, and to do it the way that he did it—with such detail—was really special.”
